A group of fifty asylum seekers who have exhausted all their legal remedies have perched themselves in a tent camp along the Notweg in Osdorp, Amsterdam New-West. These are people who have been denied a legal stay in the Netherlands but who, for various reasons, are also unable to return to their country of origin. They are in a legal no man's land. By setting up the tent camp, these people want to draw attention to their position within the Dutch society. This is a position without any rights: they have no right to shelter, medical care, or even the most basic necessities of life.

Lawyer Ursula Weitzel is representing the group of people who are relying on the right of manifestation to give expression to their hopeless situation.
