International humanitarian law

“War is so unjust and ugly that all
who wage it must try to stifle the
voice of conscience within themselves”

Leon Tolstoy

Prakken d'Oliveira represents both victims and suspects of international crimes. We are the only law firm in the Netherlands that is focused on international humanitarian law to this extent. As various international tribunals are based in The Hague, Prakken d'Oliveira is the firm of choice that can provide quick and high-quality services in that area.

Clients from all over the world know where to find us when faced with international crime. We represent suspects of international crimes in the Netherlands, but also before international tribunals such as the Cambodia tribunal. Prakken d'Oliveira has also represented victims, for example from Kenya, at the International Criminal Court, and victims from Srebrenica before the Dutch courts.

We also advise organisations worldwide in the areas of international humanitarian law and international criminal law.
